Backyard Play Project Ideas

I enjoy designing, resourcing, and creating backyard imagination and play stimulating projects. I thought I would share these ideas as others may be able to adapt my ideas, as I have of others, to encourage more children into playing in their backyards.

Our First Egg

Our first egg! And so begins our kids' daily egg hunt.  Keeping chickens is a great way to teach children about the life cycle of animals and another step in explaining, or in this case demonstrating, where food comes from.

See the Chicken Enclosure project for how to get started with your own backyard chickens.
