- Treated pine board
- Paint
- Wall plugs (I use nylon mushroom head nail anchor fittings)
- Painting: I commissioned the painting, but I've used projection of a digital image and tracing before which worked well.
- Jig-sawed around the character to remove the unpainted board and to mainly just keep the outline of the character.
- Blackened the cut edges to help make the character stand out.
- Drill holes into the board.
- Mark the drill hole positions on the brick through the board holes using a thin pencil. (Be careful to mark drill holes onto brick not mortar as the mortar will not hold an anchor well.)
- Use a masonry drill bit, that matches the recommended size specified on the wall anchor packet, to drill the holes into the bricks.
- Insert the wall anchor plugs and hammer in the nails. (I placed them in the centre of the headlights, front wheel, and flower on the door.)
