Command Centre

Material
  1. Junk electronic devices: laptop, etc
  2. Tech screws
  3. Mounting board or, in this case, plastic lattice like I used on the cubby house
  4. Laminated colour screen printout (laser printed)
Procedure
  1. Attach the junk electronic devices to a board, or plastic lattice, by using the cordless drill to screw in some tech screws from behind, through the board, and into each of the devices at various points.  (Don't worry about damaging the device as they are already dead.)
  2. Colour print a screen readout, laminate, and then stick to the laptop screen.  Ink-jet ink fades quickly so use a laser printer instead.  If you don't have a laminator, then paint clear lacquer over the printout once stuck in place (this works better onto a wooden board) but only if printed on a laser printer, as ink-jet ink will run.
Tech screws in place.  An extra metal bracket was used for the laptop.
More Project Ideas
Consider incorporating the command centre into the Cubby House ("The Castle") project.
